Barack Obama holds hope for Americans like no one else. There is no doubt about it. And the whole American nation and every segment of it loves him like no one else.

But who is Barack Obama? The question seems to have intrigued everyone. The outside world never heard of him before he went into primaries against formidable opponent like Hillary Clinton, the wife of two time former President Bill Clinton.

People ask questions from which family (political) he belongs?, who is his godfather?, who has helped him reach this far?

When told that he is just an ordinary American with dreams in his eyes coming from humblest of background, they are amazed. His father must have left lots of money in his banks to help him, they ask naively, and are further amazed when told that even this was never true.

For them a man coming from such a humble background who was raised by a single mother and who struggled at every stage in his life, though never giving up hope and overcoming every hurdle seems to be a true American story. It is a story that inspires them.
