ImageBangalore, Oct 20, 2008: Count down for India’s first moon mission Chandrayaan-1 is all set to begin later today. Chandrayaan-1 is India’s first moon mission that is sure to give a new identity to India for its scientific achievements.

It will also be India’s major step towards sending the manned mission to moon some six years from now. India has big plan for exploration of space and outer space. Chandrayaan-1 will be India’s major beginning in the way of achieving its ambitious plans.

India plans to send its first Astronaut to moon in 2015, a few years earlier than China. And there are some fears that India’s ambitious plan may start an Indian-Chinese competition on the issue
