High Court asks police to allow legal access to serial blast accused

New Delhi, Oct 3, 2008: Delhi High Court Friday directed Delhi police to allow legal access to serial blast accused in Delhi. Delhi police has arrested an unspecified number of Muslim youth following the serial bomb blasts that hit the national capital on September 13.

This is a major relief to accused arrested by police in serial bomb blasts case and later after the alleged encounter in South Delhi’s Batla House area a week later.

Serial bomb blasts that struck five places in Delhi killed 25 people and injured more than 100 others, many of them seriously. A week later the police killed two alleged Indian Mujahidin members for their role in Delhi serial blasts claiming that it had cracked the case and the mastermind was killed in the blast.
